Hateful 8 is a brand-new series of unique, challenging and wonderful races set in South Wales.

The simple question is – how many loops can you complete? How loopy do you want to get?
The H8 Ultra is a stunning 8-mile loop through the beautiful forests and trails of South Wales. The first loop will leave you wanting to run another, well the good news is, you can! In fact, the aim is to run as many loops of this beautiful course as you can in an 8-hour time limit.
It is totally down to you to manage your 8-hour time limit.
So, BEFORE you head out on your last lap you need to be confident that you’ll be able to finish you last lap BEFORE time runs out on the 8-hour time limit, if you go over the time limit, that lap will NOT get included in your total laps / mileage.
WARNING… THERE WILL BE ONE OR TWO LITTLE SURPRISES THROWN IN JUST TO REALLY, REALLY SPICE IT UP!
There will be a Checkpoint at mile 4 and 8 (the start and finish points) where you will be required to get your card punched.
If you are running the ultra-distance you will be expected to be self-sufficient and manage your own supplies.
There will be hot and cold drinks and a variety of food put on but we do encourage you to fuel yourself for the majority of the 8 hours.
After completion of every 8-mile lap from the start / finish point. You will be able to return to your car refuel and sort your kit out before you attack another 8-mile lap.
If you do not have a car there will be an area undercover for you to go to your drop bag and rest and recover before heading out to attack another lap.
You must however check in at the starting desk to have your card stamped to say you are out on the course.
Runners must follow the marked course at all times, if you are found off course you will be disqualified.
The course will be clearly marked.
Your bib number must be worn on your front at all times.
Runners must not stash food / supplies on the course.
If you are caught littering you will be disqualified.
No pacers are permitted.
Runners must carry mandatory equipment with them at all times.
Runners are not permitted to run with their dogs.
You must comply with all instructions given at the race briefing.
